    Technical Information

    Flexo-graphic printing or “Flexo” as it is lovingly known involves the creation of set of printing plates “in relief”. Once these are mounted onto cylinder environmentally friendly water based inks are then used to create the impression onto the chosen substrate. Colour Registration is kept to within 0.5 mm by a strong air vacuum transfer system that transports the sheets through the press, ensuring images appear in the correct place.  We operate a full colour management system using spectrophotometers to measure colour variance as a standard.

    3D Samples & Artwork

    The image created is tailored to your exact requirements and is lifted from a professionally produced artwork file with as part of our work flow we provide a colour swatch onto the correct substrate for your approval, once approved this colour is set to an ink formula in our system and we use our colour checking equipment to check your approved swatch against our product. This service really gives you the assurance that your corporate colour can be reproduced consistently at Caps Cases.

    Often as Brand owners and marketers we have an idea of what we are looking to achieve, At Caps we help turn that idea into a reality, ensuring your packaging stands out from your competitors. During the conceptual stage of a project we take artwork and create a 3D image so you can see how you pack will appear when constructed. And if that doesn’t tick the box we will arrange for a physical sample to be delivered to you complete with your chosen artwork on it.

    Cost Take Out

    As Flexo technology has improved over recent times we have successfully saved many of our clients money by converting pre-print, litho and screen work to Flexo. Not only is our process more cost effective there are fewer size restrictions in comparison with alternative print processes such as silk screen or litho printing. Savings can also be found in the origination or set up costs; which in many instances can prove themselves a costly impediment when starting out with a new print process. We work closely with all new and existing customers on ‘cost take out’ projects, where feasible taking Litho artwork, and converting it to high quality Flexo.

    Digital Printing

    In July 2016 Caps Cases entered the digital age, opening up various new possibilities for our clients, such as versioning, seasonal promotions and short run customised packaging. Our Digital Printer is now operational in Newmarket.
